CCG Facilities Integration

Innovating Mission Critical Systems

Abovenet Communications
Multi-Data Center Global Roll-Out

Project Overview

CCG served as the technical development manager for a multi-site roll-out of major technology facilities for AboveNet Communications in both domestic and international locations. CCG worked with AboveNet executives to translate their unique business model into a forward-looking facility design. This prototype included rotary batteryless continuous power systems coupled with local climate-specific cooling systems, and a compartmentalized approach to equipment deployment.

The total program represented a capital expenditure of over $1 billion in less than two years.

CCG later developed a next-generation scalable data center prototype which included on-site combined cooling, heat and power (CHP) plants.
