Project Overview

Based on the newest prototype design developed by CCG, the DuPont Fabros Technology ACC5 Technology Center is one of the largest data centers in the United States.

This Tier IV data center possesses extremely robust mechanical, electrical and communications a system with over 200 W/SF of critical power density, and is designed with modular flexibility utilizing CCG’s patented “Isolated–Parallel” power configuration.   The ACC5 facility is a single-story pre-cast shell structure, constructed on a large, open, unrestricted flat site. An electrical equipment penthouse houses emergency generators.

DFT has achieved LEED Gold certification on this facility through various methods of energy efficient design and construction initiatives. The facility was constructed in two phases - Phase 1 was delivered in September, 2009 and Phase 2 was delivered in October, 2010.

  • Total building area: 360,000 SF
  • Cooling Plant: 17,280 Tons installed
  • Total Demand Load: 60 MVA
  • Critical IT Load: 36.4 MW
  • UPS System: 32 x 1330 kW = 41.6 MW installed
