CCG Facilities Integration, as a leader in the mission-critical facilities design field, kicked off with a meeting in Atlanta to begin design on the Cox Communications’ Cox Deer Valley Data Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Cox is constructing a $70 million-plus, 100,000 SF data center at their headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. When completed, this facility will have 50,000 SF of raised floor with 100 W/SF and 50,000 SF of infrastructure area, exterior equipment and truck courtyards, site improvements, landscaping and parking for up to 100 vehicles.

“We are excited that our parent company, Cox Enterprises, is making another economic investment in Arizona, in the Phoenix metro area,” said Steve Rizley, senior vice president and general manager of Cox Communications Arizona. “Not only will this give an injection of investment in the Deer Valley community, but will also help strengthen Cox Communications’ services with enhanced security and reliability.”1

CCG will work with Cox and the architectural firm, Gensler to develop the program and site requirements that will maximize the value of land, and efficiency of the program relating to the Cox’s goals. A preliminary design and HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection building systems requirements will be laid out. CCG will then create the MEP Construction Documents and perform Contract Administration throughout the construction of the data center.
