FannieMae moved its primary data center from Washington, DC to Reston, VA. The relocation of this operation necessitated extensive upgrades to the mechanical and electrical infrastructure of the new site; installation of a new structured data cabling plant; and the careful planning and implementation of the systems and network transition while maintaining service availability within acceptable parameters of performance.
