In 2005, the United States Patent & Trademark Office will relocate 8,000 employees from 14 different buildings to a new government campus in Alexandria, Virginia. This campus will be comprised of 2.5 million square feet of offices on sixty-five floors over six buildings, in one of the largest consolidations of government staff and real estate in the Nation's history.

CCG was engaged to provide design services for the technological backbone of this campus. Located within the campus, the USPTO Information Technology Facility will house approximately 70,000 square feet of critical infrastructure including information servers and libraries, emerging technologies development labs and 24/7 help desk. Ancillary spaces will include facility support offices and presentation suite. An interim data center, also designed by CCG, will provide IT services during the yearlong employee migration into the new campus.
